Does the Sentinel/Conservation X Labs own my data?

No, your data remains yours even after you upload your datasets.

How quickly will my model be installed onto my Sentinel(s)

Sending a model to be installed onto your Sentinel(s) from your online dashboard or mobile app will be completed the next time your Sentinel wakes up (what you set your Sentinel's processing time interval to be).

How many animals can I train in one model?

You can include as many animals as you like in a model, but more species will increase the model's processing time, which will lower battery life. We would recommend not exceeding 20 animals in a single model.

How many models can I install onto my Sentinel?

You can install as many models as you like onto your Sentinel, but more models will lower battery life for the same reasons above. We would recommend not having more than 10 models on a single Sentinel.

Can I train a custom model without uploading a dataset?

Yes, you can train a custom model without having uploaded your own dataset. Simply leave the dropdown menu as No Custom Datasets when asked if you'd like to add your own dataset to the training process.

Can I install a model onto a device that isn't near me physically/connected to wifi?

Yes, Sentinels can be out in the field when you want to install and uninstall models. These models installation changes will take effect the next time your Sentinel wakes up (what you set your Sentinel's processing time interval to be).

How many Sentinels can I install a model onto?

You can install your model(s) onto as many Sentinels as you like (that you own).

Can I provide feedback on the insights I get?

Yes! On your Insights page, if you see a thumbnail image for your insight that is correct or incorrect, click the YES or NO button in that row to tell your model how to improve upon itself when it is next retrained.

How can I retrain my model?

This is a feature we're working on right now. When you provide a sufficient amount of feedback to see a noticeable improvement in the model, we will consider it ready to retrain. Model retaining will be free of charge

Can multiple people access Sentinel's insights?

Multiple users can have the same device registered to their account and have access to the same insights and images. The engineering team is building features to allow for teams and organization accounts on the online dashboard to make this easier.
