# EarthRanger Integration

## What is EarthRanger?

[EarthRanger](https://earthranger.com/) is a real-time conservation monitoring platform that allows organizations to track and analyze wildlife data. By integrating Sentinel with EarthRanger, you can: 

✅ Automatically log Sentinel detections in EarthRanger.\
✅ View Sentinel insights alongside other conservation data (GPS tracking, ranger patrols, etc.).\
✅ Enhance response times by using alerts from Sentinel.

## How to Connect Sentinel with EarthRanger

### Step 1: Request Gundi Access

1. Ensure you have an active EarthRanger and Gundi account.
2. Get in touch with the Gundi team for a v1 API key.

### Step 2: Enable Integration in the Sentinel Dashboard

1. Log in to Sentinel Dashboard.
2. Navigate to Admin → Select Gundi v2.
3. Enter your EarthRanger API Key.

Historic Sentinel data will not transfer to EarthRanger. Only new insights sent to the dashboard after configuring a Gundi integration will appear on the EarthRanger platform.

## Viewing Sentinel Data in EarthRanger

Once integrated, Sentinel detections will appear in EarthRanger as:

* Location-based events mapped onto the EarthRanger interface.
* Species detection alerts with confidence levels.
* Historical logs that can be filtered by date, species, and location.

## Troubleshooting Integration Issues

If your Sentinel data is not appearing in EarthRanger, confirm you have used the correct Gundi API key or get in touch with the Gundi team for a new API key.
